VIDEO DESCRIPTION
This is my guide and walkthrough for Gears of War 3 on Insane difficulty. This is a solo run of Insane played on the XBOX Series X version of Gears of War 3. The game runs natively at 1440p/60fps in “FPS Boost” mode. This walkthrough was recorded with the game outputted at upscaled 4K/60Hz, and the videos were recorded in and rendered at 4K/60fps.

“FPS BOOST” NOTATION (SERIES X)
In 2021, Gears of War 1, 2, 3, and Judgment all received enhancement upgrades on the XBOX Series X. With the exception of Gears of War 3, these enhancement upgrades included a 4K resolution upgrade as well as an “FPS Boost” option that automatically updated the games to 60fps. Gears of War 3 was also updated to 60fps but only received a native resolution upgrade to 1440p. Additionally, the “FPS Boost” option for Gears of War 3 had to be manually applied by the user.

To apply FPS Boost to Gears of War 3, go to its title card, press the View button on your controller, and select “Manage game and add-ons.” On the next screen, select “Compatibility Options.” Select the unchecked FPS Boost option. Lastly, if you experience any instability issues (such as running the game through El Gato's 4K Capture Utility), turn off VRR (Variable Refresh Rate). To turn off VRR, go into the Series Xʼs Settings menu. Go to the “General” section, then to “TV & display options,” and under Advanced, select “Video Modes.” Ensure that “Variable Refresh Rate” is set to Off. Lastly, quit out of the Gears 3 software if it is running and restart your console. Receive SMS online on sms24.me
