Matchroom Fight Camp, Брентвуд, Великобритания. В главном событии вечера «временный» чемпион по версии WBC британский супертяж (свыше 90,7 кг) Диллиан Уайт (27-2, 18 KO) проиграл нокаутом матёрому ветерану из РФ Александру Поветкину (36-2-1, 25 KO).
В стартовом раунде оба отметились парочкой коронных левых хуков. Уайт работал через джеб (в том числе и по корпусу), не рисковал, выманивал Поветкина, пытался сконтрить. Оба, как ни странно, выцеливали печень.
В 4-м раунде Поветкин схватил два правых хука, а затем и левый — побывал в нокдауне. На последних секундах трёхминутки вновь упал — пропустил апперкот.
Казалось, бой проигран. Но в 5-м раунде Поветкин неожиданно наглухо нокаутировал Уайта апперкотом. Вот это да!
