In this episode, we head to the Chechen mountains, to the village of Shatoi, to help Arbo, an elderly man whom we pick up from the hospital and take back home to his mountain village. Along the way and on site, you'll see real life in the Chechen mountains, the way of life of the older generation, the traditions, and the atmosphere of high-mountain villages.
One of our subscribers was moved and sent a local doctor to Arbo. In this episode, you'll see how the examination is conducted, the elder's health, and the doctor's recommendations. We show real help for people in the Chechen mountains, without any staged or pretentious pretense.
Upon returning home, we help around the house:
— chop and saw wood for heating the house,
— fetch water from the river,
— inspect the farmstead: chickens, ducks, a horse, dogs, and cats,
— talk with the elders' family and learn how they live in the mountains in winter and summer.
Also in this episode, we prepare the traditional Chechen dish galnash (kotam galnash) using a traditional recipe from the Chechen mountains. We'll show the cooking process, the cozy atmosphere, hospitality, and authentic Chechen cuisine.
