Il settore bancario italiano ha chiuso il 2025 con una redditività eccezionale che è stata trainata da margine di interesse solido, nonostante la stabilizzazione dei tassi. Le prime 5 banche del Paese hanno annunciato dei dividendi relativi all'esercizio 2025 in crescita, pensate un po', del 26% rispetto all'anno precedente. Questo incremento è supportato da una gestione efficiente dei costi operativi e da un costo del rischio che rimane ai minimi storici.
La solidità patrimoniale, misurata dal coefficiente CET1, si conferma ben al di sopra dei requisiti minimi regolamentati per tutti i principali istituti. E gli analisti sottolineano che oltre ai dividendi in contanti molte banche proseguiranno con ampi programmi di riacquisto di azioni proprie, il cosiddetto buyback. Tale strategia riflette la fiducia del management bancario nella capacità di generare cassa anche in uno scenario di moderato rallentamento economico, cioè l'economia rallenta ma non per il sistema bancario.
