La Ferrari SF-26 è sotto attacco su più fronti: Mercedes e Red Bull sfruttano una clausola d'emergenza del regolamento MGU-K per massimizzare i 350 kW elettrici fino alla linea del traguardo in qualifica, tagliando la potenza in un colpo solo anziché seguire la rampa graduale prevista dal regolamento — un trucco che a Suzuka ha lasciato Antonelli e Verstappen quasi fermi in pista dopo il giro veloce, sollevando seri problemi di sicurezza. La FIA ha già contattato Mercedes e il 9 aprile a Londra si terrà una riunione cruciale che potrebbe ridisegnare le regole del 2026, dal super clipping alla gestione delle ali attive in qualifica, con la possibilità di liberare l'aerodinamica attiva senza zone predefinite per ridurre il consumo di batteria.
