KOMPAS.TV- Seorang polisi gugur saat bertugas mengamankan pesta rakyat pernikahan anak Gubernur Jawa Barat Dedi Mulyadi di Lapangan Oto Iskandar Dinata, Kabupaten Garut, Jumat 18 Juli 2025.Acara itu adalah pernikahan Maula Akbar Mulyadi dan Wakil Bupati Garut Putri Karlina, nah Maula sendiri adalah anak sulung Dedi Mulyadi.
Terekam dalam video yang cukup ramai di media sosial, tampak warga berimpitan saat mengantre makanan gratis hingga jatuh 3 korban meninggal dunia.
Seorang sosok polisi yang meninggal tersebut atas nama Bripka Cecep Saeful Bahri anggota Polsek Karangpawitan, Polres Garut.
Adapun Bripka Cecep merupakan Bintara Pembina Ketertiban Masyarakat (Bhabinkamtibmas) Polsek Karangpawitan.
Selain Bripka Cecep ada 2 korban lainnya yakni VA (8) dan Jubaedah (61). Diketahui, Cecep meninggal dunia setelah mengevakuasi seorang anak kecil dari kerumunan warga. Ia sempat duduk dan kondisinya lemas, lalu diberikan pertolongan darurat namun nyawanya tak terselamatkan.
