Erick Thohir Dilantik Jadi Menpora, Nurdin Halid: Harus Mundur dari PSSI Biar Fokus
KOMPAS.TV - Erick Thohir sudah resmi dilantik menjadi Menteri Pemuda dan Olahraga menggantikan Dito Ariotedjo.Ia kembali menegaskan dirinya masih jadi Ketua Umum PSSI meski kini berstatus sebagai Menpora. Tapi ia akan mundur jika FIFA meminta.
Ketua Umum PSSI periode 2003-2011, Nurdin Halid, menganggap Erick seharusnya mengundurkan diri dari PSSI ketika memimpin Kemenpora. Ia menyebut hal itu agar Erick fokus mengejar target-target kementerian, salah satunya prestasi di SEA Games 2025 Desember mendatang.
Koordinator Save Our Soccer, Akmal Marhali, mengatakan dalam statuta FIFA dan PSSI tidak menyebutkan larangan rangkap jabatan Ketua Umum PSSI dan menteri.
Menurutnya, Erick tidak perlu mundur karena sudah punya rekam jejak dan jaringan yang bagus dengan FIFA dan organisasi olahraga lainnya.
Erick Thohir punya banyak tugas penting sebagai Menpora, salah satunya SEA Games ke-33 di Thailand pada Desember mendatang. Waktu yang tersisa relatif singkat, sehingga diperlukan pengambilan keputusan yang tepat dalam pilihan cabang olahraga, seleksi atlet, dan efisiensi anggaran.
