Greenpeace Respons Bahlil Lokasi Tambang Nikel di Raja Ampat Bukan Tempat Pariwisata
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV - Greenpeace Indonesia tidak sepakat dengan pernyataan Menteri ESDM Bahlil Lahadalia terkait lokasi penambangan nikel di Raja Ampat bukan tempat pariwisata.Juru kampanye hutan Greenpeace Indonesia, Iqbal Damanik menjelaskan pernyataan Bahlil berpotensi keliru karena Pulau GAG tetaplah bagian dari Raja Ampat yang harus dilindungi karena potensi wisatanya.
"Pernyataan pak menteri ini berpotensi menimbulkan kekeliruan seakan-akan yang boleh ditambang itu adalah yang pariwisata. Sementara pariwisata tidak boleh ditambang karena perusakan lingkungan akibat industrialisasi nikel ini tidak hanya di Raja Ampat, tapi juga di banyak tempat di Sulawesi, Maluku," ujar Iqbal, pada Jumat (6/6/2025).
Lebih lanjut, Iqbal mengatakan aktivitas pertambangan di Raja Ampat dikhawatirkan menimbulkan kerusakan lingkungan dan memperburuk kesehatan masyarakat.
