TRAGÖDIE BEI TOLEDO: Falsche Freigabe ‒ Zug soll vor Crash mit voller Geschwindigkeit gefahren seinNach einem schweren Zugunglück in der spanischen Provinz Toledo dauern die Bergungsarbeiten an. Laut den Angaben im Bericht sind bislang 69 Todesopfer bekannt. Einsatzkräfte heben entgleiste Waggons mit schwerem Gerät an und suchen mit Leichenspürhunden nach weiteren Opfern. Die gesicherten Fahrdatenschreiber sollen bei der Aufklärung helfen. Im Mittelpunkt der Ermittlungen steht der Verdacht auf menschliches Versagen: Trotz eines mutmaßlichen Ausfalls des Sicherheitssystems soll ein Mitarbeiter der Zugleitstelle einem Zug die Weiterfahrt mit hoher Geschwindigkeit erlaubt haben. Die Ursache ist bislang nicht unabhängig bestätigt. Das Unglück könnte auch politische Folgen für Spaniens Regierung haben.
