The UN's political chief has said the Taliban cannot be a part of the international community until they do more for women and girls in Afghanistan. Under-Secretary-General Rosemary DiCarlo delivered that message following a UN-led meeting on Afghanistan held in the Qatari capital Doha. Taliban leaders were invited to attend for the first time since their return to power in 2021.
