Ozzy Osbourne, vokalis legendaris yang dikenal sebagai "Pangeran Kegelapan" dan pelopor musik heavy metal, wafat di usia 76 tahun.Lahir di Birmingham, Inggris pada tahun 1948, Ozzy Osbourne tumbuh dalam keluarga pekerja keras. Kariernya melejit ketika ia bergabung dengan band Black Sabbath pada tahun 1969. Bersama band ini, Ozzy memperkenalkan musik dengan nuansa gelap dan distorsi keras, sesuatu yang saat itu dianggap tabu, tapi justru membuka jalan lahirnya genre heavy metal.
Namun, pada 2003 tubuhnya mengidap Parkinson dan kondisi kesehatannya terus menurun.
Meski tubuhnya kerap sakit-sakitan dalam beberapa tahun terakhir, Ozzy tetap berkarya hingga akhir hayatnya. Bahkan tetap tampil di konser terakhirnya di Inggris pada Juli 2025, reuni bersama formasi asli Black Sabbath di depan 42.000 penonton.
Pada 22 Juli 2025, Ozzy Osbourne tutup usia di rumahnya di Inggris. Dunia musik pun berduka. Ucapan belasungkawa datang dari musisi dunia seperti Tony Iommi, Aerosmith, Metallica, Foo Fighters, hingga klub sepak bola Aston Villa.
