Illegale Einreisen: Dreifache Festnahmen im Vorjahr

Vor fast zwei Jahren sind an allen deutschen Landesgrenzen vorübergehende Kontrollen eingeführt worden – zum Schutz der inneren Sicherheit und gegen irreguläre Migration. Nun hat Innenminister Dobrindt in dieser Woche die EU-Kommission um eine weitere Verlängerung der Kontrollen gebeten. Überprüfen können die Grenzbeamt:innen aber nur stichprobenartig. Schon aus praktischen Gründen. Denn über die deutsche Grenze führen etwa 4.500 Straßen, Wege und Pfade.
