«Mi immagino gli avversari per dribblarli e anche il canestro per tirare, così provo la tecnica. Vorrei giocare nell'Nba». Tun-tun-tun, palleggio, poi la palla centra un canestro invisibile. Ma per Giorgio, 11 anni, è come se lo avesse davanti agli occhi quando gioca sull'asfalto di Prato della Valle, la vasta piazza monumentale di Padova. Ogni giorno con la sua palla da basket trasforma l'ovale tra la basilica di Sant'Antonio e quella di Santa Giustina in un campetto di allenamento per tiri, dribbling, passaggi tra le gambe e cambi di direzione. Il suo pubblico erano le statue degli uomini illustri che da secoli circondano l'ovale centrale del Prato, da Galilei a Canova e Petrarca. Poi, un negoziante lo ha ripreso in un video che ha fatto il giro del web: pubblicato dalla pagina Facebook «La giornata tipo» (500mila follower su Facebook, 300mila su Instagram), ha raccolto 500 mila visualizzazioni e decine di migliaia di like attratti dalla passione di quel ragazzino, tra chi si rivede bambino e chi ammira l'attenzione alla tecnica. Giorgio non se ne cura, continua a giocare come sempre: «Non mi accorgo di essere famoso, ma i miei compagni di scuola mi hanno fatto la festa, hanno visto il video anche loro».
