Verzögerung und Kostenexplosion beim US-Rüstungsdeal: Deutschland will zur Abschreckung #Tomahawk Marschflugkörper und das dazugehörige #Typhon Startsystem anschaffen, doch die Lieferung droht sich bis mindestens 2031 zu verzögern. Das Wichtigste in Kürze: - Was ist geplant? Die Bundeswehr soll Tomahawk-Marschflugkörper mit einer Reichweite von bis zu 2500 Kilometern und das mobile Typhon-Abschusssystem erhalten. - Warum gibt es Probleme? Die Systeme können voraussichtlich erst 2031 statt wie geplant 2029 geliefert werden – zwei Jahre zu spät für die anvisierte Abschreckung. - Wie steht es um die Kosten? Allein das Startsystem fällt mit 400 Millionen Euro doppelt so teuer aus wie ursprünglich kalkuliert. Um die Engpässe zu umgehen, wird nun diskutiert, ob Teile der Produktion unter Lizenz direkt in #Deutschland stattfinden könnten. Ob dieser Schritt die #Abschreckung gegen Russland rechtzeitig sichern kann, bleibt die zentrale Frage.
