El Presidente chino, Xi Jinping, ha respondido a una carta de los trabajadores del sector siderúrgico de la ciudad serbia de Smederevo, en la que les anima a hacer nuevas contribuciones a los lazos entre China y Serbia. Xi dice que el desarrollo de la planta siderúrgica de Smederevo es un vivo ejemplo de la construcción conjunta de alta calidad entre China y Serbia de la iniciativa de la Franja y la Ruta. Dice que también es un ejemplo exitoso de la cooperación mutuamente beneficiosa entre los dos países.
