In occasione dell’Italian Global Series Festival sono stati celebrati i 60 anni di Star Trek. Nella serata dell’8 luglio al Palacongressi di Riccione hanno sfilato sul red carpet l’attrice Jeri Ryan (la celebre Sette di Nove di Star Trek: Voyager e Star Trek: Picard) e il regista e sceneggiatore Nicholas Meyer, insieme a Anson Mount, Rebecca Romijn e Celia Rose Gooding, protagonisti della serie di Paramount+ “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” in uscita nelle prossime settimane. Ryan, 58 anni, aveva debuttato nel 1997 nella saga interpretando il ruolo di Sette di Nove. «Negli anni '90 il mondo era di gran lunga migliore - le sue parole -. Oggi c’è da aver paura, soprattutto perché stiamo tornando indietro, stiamo facendo marcia indietro in particolare nel mio paese». Ryan condivide l’opinione di Meyer su Trump. «Viviamo momenti molto pericolosi. Credo che la gente debba farsi sentire, debba fare sentire la propria voce e la propria opinione. Non è più il momento di restare guardare, di dire di non essere interessati alla politica e alla partecipazione. Il periodo storico è molto rischioso e molto pericoloso e non è più normale».
