El 31 de octubre se celebra Halloween. Una costumbre que se ha ido imponiendo en España desde no hace muchos años.Se considera que su origen es Samhain, una antigua fiesta celta que se celebraba al atardecer del 31 de octubre y marcaba el fin de la cosecha y del verano, dando paso al invierno y el año nuevo celta. Para sus seguidores, era un momento liminal en el que se difuminaba la barrera entre el mundo de los vivos y el de los muertos. Las celebraciones incluían encender grandes hogueras, disfrazarse con pieles de animales para confundir a los espíritus y hacer ofrendas de comida para apaciguarlos. Esta fiesta es celebrada por neopaganos y wiccanos.
¿Por qué hemos abandonado nuestra costumbre de honrar a los muertos y las hemos tornado por estas celebraciones paganas?
