Tàu chiến Hy Lạp vô hiệu hóa, trực tiếp bắn hạ UAV chiến thuật của Houthis | Thời sự quốc tế
PLO | Tàu chiến Hy Lạp vô hiệu hóa, trực tiếp bắn hạ UAV chiến thuật của HouthisNgày 9/7, trang War Zone công bố video tàu chiến Psara của Hải quân Hy Lạp bắn hạ một máy bay không người lái (UAV) của lực lượng Houthis ngoài khơi bờ biển Somali vào đêm 7/7. UAV Houthis bay chiến thuật phức tạp nhằm tránh bị tấn công, nhưng vẫn bị bắn hạ bởi các vũ khí và hệ thống pháo trên tàu chiến Hy Lạp. Vụ việc xảy ra khi tàu Psara và tàu hỗ trợ Karel Doorman của Hà Lan đang hộ tống một tàu chở hàng qua Vịnh Aden. Tàu chở hàng tiếp tục hải trình an toàn sau sự cố này.
Chiến dịch Aspides của Liên minh châu Âu, trong đó có Hy Lạp và Hà Lan, thực hiện nhiệm vụ hộ tống và bảo vệ tàu thương mại khỏi các mối đe dọa từ Houthis. Tổng cộng có 4 UAV đe dọa tàu thuyền, trong đó 2 chiếc bị tàu Hy Lạp bắn hạ, còn lại đổi hướng và rời khỏi khu vực.
Lực lượng Houthis tuyên bố đã tấn công 4 tàu liên quan đến Mỹ, Anh, Israel tại 4 vùng biển khác nhau vào ngày 1/7. Các tàu bị nhắm mục tiêu gồm MSC Unific của Israel ở biển Ả Rập, tàu chở dầu Delonix của Mỹ ở biển Đỏ, tàu đổ bộ Anvil Point của Anh ở Ấn Độ Dương và tàu Lucky Sailor ở Địa Trung Hải. Hiện, thông tin này chưa được xác minh và các quốc gia liên quan chưa bình luận.
Houthis, được Iran hậu thuẫn, đã mở các cuộc tấn công UAV và tên lửa vào tàu liên quan đến Israel từ tháng 11, thể hiện tình đoàn kết với người Palestine ở Gaza.
