"Noi sappiamo che oggi c'è una minaccia e che bisogna lavorare per disinnescarla. Siamo tutti convinti che vada disinnescata con delle negoziazioni, ma un tentativo è stato fatto e purtroppo non si è arrivati al risultato". Così la premier Giorgia Meloni, parlando del conflitto tra Iran e Israele al termine del G7 in Canada, rispondendo a chi le chiedeva un commento sulle parole del cancelliere Friedrich Merz, secondo cui Israele "sta facendo il lavoro sporco per tutti noi". "Penso che sia possibile oggi - aggiunge - uno scenario diverso in cui si arriva a delle negoziazioni e si arriva all'obiettivo che tutti condividiamo, che è la rinuncia da parte dell'Iran a essere una potenza nucleare. Sono d'accordo sul fatto - aggiunge - che l'Iran come potenza nucleare non sarebbe una minaccia solamente per Israele, sarebbe una minaccia anche per tutti noi".
