Apagón, hambre… y novela: el pueblo habanero se reúne en el Pabellón Cuba

El influencer y activista cubanoamericano Alex Otaola comenta las imágenes del Pabellón Cuba abarrotado de personas reunidas para ver el último capítulo de una novela, en medio de apagones prolongados, escasez extrema y agotamiento social. Mientras en los hogares no hay electricidad, agua ni alimentos, cientos de cubanos se movilizaron para consumir entretenimiento.

Desde su análisis, Otaola cuestiona las prioridades impuestas y asumidas, señalando que no se trata de un evento inocente, sino de una vieja fórmula: pan y circo. Distracción emocional mientras la realidad cotidiana es miseria, enfermedad y abandono institucional.

Otaola subraya que ese mismo pueblo que asiste al evento es el que depende de paquetes, remesas, plantas eléctricas y ayuda humanitaria. Un contraste que duele y que expone el nivel de normalización del desastre.

El mensaje es contundente: cuando no hay luz para vivir, pero sí energía para entretener, alguien está ganando… y no es el pueblo.
