Beamte übernehmen wichtige Aufgaben im Staat: bei der Polizei, in der Justiz oder an unseren Schulen. Dafür gelten besondere Regeln. Beamte dürfen nicht streiken und können versetzt werden. Gleichzeitig genießen sie große Sicherheit im Job und hohe Pensionsansprüche.
Doch genau diese Privilegien sorgen für eine wachsende Debatte. Reporter Stefan Ganß hat sich in Jena umgehört:
👉 Können wir uns das Beamtentum noch leisten?
👉 Sollten Lehrkräfte weiterhin verbeamtet werden?
👉 Und wie müsste ein modernes Beamtensystem aussehen?
Eine MDRfragt-Umfrage unter fast 22.000 Menschen im Osten Deutschlands zeigt:
Fast zwei Drittel halten das Beamtensystem für veraltet. Besonders groß ist die Zustimmung für die Idee einer Bürgerversicherung, in die auch Beamte einzahlen würden.
