Ramai tagar #SaveRajaAmpat di media sosial. Tagar tersebut menyuarakan penolakan terhadap aktivitas tambang nikel yang dinilai dapat merusak ekosistem Raja Ampat.Ditanya mengenai hal itu, Menteri Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia mengatakan akan menyempatkan diri berkunjung ke Raja Ampat saat mampir ke Papua Barat Daya dan Papua Barat.
“Insya Allah, doakan saja, saya kebetulan ada rencana mau kunjungi wilayah Papua Barat Daya dan Papua Barat. Mau kunjungi sumur-sumur minyak di Sorong, di Fak-Fak, sama BP Bintuni. Nah, mungkin saya lihat celah-celah waktu saya di situ (mampir ke Raja Ampat),” kata Bahlil, saat memberikan keterangan di Kantor DPP Golkar, Jakarta, Jumat (6/6/2025).
Bahlil kemudian menyebut rencana kunjungannya sebagai bagian dari silaturahmi yang mencontoh Nabi Ibrahim. “Dalam suasana Iduladha, karena tadi, saya ingat betul tausiah Sekjen tadi, silaturahmi, kumpul-kumpul, makan-makan, traktir makan, itu bagian daripada ajaran Nabi Ibrahim," imbuhnya.
