Marshel Widianto sebelumnya diusung Partai Gerindra maju di Pilkada Tangsel sebagai bakal calon wakil wali kota.
Sebagai calon pemimpin, Marshel juga menunjukkan kekritisannya membaca tata kelola kota.
Ia menyebut pembangunan Tangsel masih timpang antarkecamatannya.
Bahkan secara spesifik, Marshel mengkritik masih adanya tiang listrik di tengah jalan kota satelit Jakarta itu.
Suami dari Cesen juga menyoroti masalah sampah.
"Bahwa hingga hari ini di Tangsel masih ada tiang listrik di tengah jalan, masih banyak sampah berserakan di jalan," kata Marshel pada rapat konsolidasi Partai Gerindra di Serpong, Tangsel, Rabu (19/6/2024).
