💙⚡Become a member – https://tinyurl.com/blmemberI’m starting with a tiny black-and-white line pattern and turning it into lettering that looks raised off the page. We’ll build the effect in Photoshop, keep the layers editable, and finish with a full-size print image and a separate 4K export.
I’ll walk through the type setup, separate displacement and lighting maps, a repeating scanline pattern, and the Gaussian Blur and Oil Paint settings that smooth the contours. Then we’ll add coral and ivory, build a second violet-and-cyan surface, blend the two, and finish the glow and edges before exporting.
What I like about this effect is how much depth comes from a small change in the line spacing. The second surface bends in the opposite direction, so the colors weave through each other. Getting those shallow curves clean matters just as much as choosing the colors.
I’d use this for a typography poster or a wide wall print. At the end, I’ll show the FLOW, WAVE and RISE variations, along with framed and mural mockups that help me picture the work in a room.
