Por primera vez, Arturo sangra y casi sucumbe ante la protección mágica de su oponente. Al borde de la muerte, el Rey descubre la farsa, derrota a Accolon y recupera la ventaja. Derrotada, Morgana huye con la vaina y la lanza a un lago profundo, condenando a Arturo a la mortalidad.
