Weaving Faith and Fashion – Designing with Devotion | Manish Tripathi | TEDxVCOE

From the heartland of Uttar Pradesh to the national spotlight, Manish Tripathi’s journey is one of grit, grace, and giving back. A graduate of NIFT, he built his name in India’s fashion industry by marrying creativity with culture, purpose with passion. Today, he’s not only recognized for his innovative designs, but also revered for a rare honor—designing the sacred attire for Prabhu Shri Ram Lalla at the Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya.

In his talk, “Weaving Faith and Fashion – Designing with Devotion,” Tripathi offers a window into that once-in-a-lifetime experience—translating devotion into design, blending Vedic symbolism with handloom precision. He reflects on how faith, heritage, and craftsmanship can come together to shape narratives that are spiritual, aesthetic, and timeless.

But his story doesn’t stop at personal success. Tripathi speaks about achieving goals with humility and purpose—using his platform to uplift artisans, mentor young designers, and promote Indian textiles on the global stage. He has launched initiatives that empower rural weavers, supports upcycling, and promotes sustainable, inclusive design.

His message is clear and powerful: Dream big, stay rooted, and rise by lifting others. Design, for him, is not just a profession—it’s a form of service, a medium for impact, and a bridge between tradition and tomorrow. Fashion Designer Manish Tripathi is relentless engaged in upliftment of the weaver community & rural women, working together in generating sustainable employment through the sewa to Prabhu Shri RamLala Sarkar’s poshak in Ayodhya.
