Hatay Medeniyetler Korosu Şefi Yılmaz Özfırat TEDxGündoğduKoleji Sahnesinde konuşuyor. 16.03.1970 tarihinde Gaziantep ilinin Nizip ilçesindedünyaya geldi. İlk, orta ve lise öğrenimini ailesinin
memuriyetinden dolayı KKTC tamamlamıştır. Gaziantep
Üniversitesi Türk Musiki Devlet Konservatuarından 1995
yılında mezun olmuştur. 1998-2001 yılları arasında
Kars’ta görev yapmıştır. 2001 yılından günümüze kadar
Hatay/Antakya da müzik öğretmenliği görevini devam
ettirmektedir. 2007 yılında Hatay Medeniyetler Korosunu
kurmuş olup, günümüze kadar dünyada 3000’ den fazla
Türkiye de ve Dünyanın birçok kentinde konserler
vermiştir ve konserler vermeye devam etmektedir. Kültür
ve Turizm Bakanlığı özel ödülüne layık görülmüş, birçok
ulusal ve uluslararası kuruluşlardan barış, dostluk ve
kardeşlik ödülleri almıştır. Günümüzde Hatay Antakya
Medeniyetler Korosu Derneğinin Başkanlığını devam
