Seruan itu dibuat Pakistan untuk menghentikan agresi militer Israel.
Kabar itu disampaikan oleh Menteri Pertahanan Pakistan Khawaja Asif dilansir dari Press TV pada Kamis (18/9).
Aliansi militer NATO Islam itu dibentuk karena sejumlah negara Muslim memiliki senjata canggih hingga nuklir.
Menurut Asif, sudah waktunya negara-negara Muslim bersatu melawan Zionis.
Asif menyampaikan pernyataan tersebut dalam sebuah konferensi pers ketika menanggapi serangan Israel terhadap para pemimpin Hamas di Qatar.
Menteri Pakistan itu mendesak agar umat Islam mengenali musuh yang bersahabat dan mengatasi tantangan bersama dengan membentuk NATO Islam.
Menurutnya pembentukan NATO Islam itu bertujuan untuk melakukan pertahanan bersama.
Asif juga menunjukan adanya pergeseran opini publik di dunia Barat.
Yang mana saat ini sejumlah negara Barat ikut mengecam Israel bahkan menghentikan kerjasama dengan Israel.
Dalam sambutannya itu ia juga menyinggung soal perkembangan yang sedang berlangsung di Suriah.
Khususnya soal perubahan rezim yang menggambarkan sebagai indikasi persetujuan diam-diam Amerika Serikat. (Tribun-Video.com)
