Diketahui, Perong dihadirkan saat Polda Jabar menggelar rilis kasus terkait penangkapan terhadap Pegi Setiawan, terduga pembunuh Vina Cirebon, yang masuk daftar DPO selama 8 tahun itu, pada Minggu (26/5/2024) di Mapolda Jabar.
Dirreskrimum Polda Jabar, Kombes Pol Surawan, memastikan jika pihaknya bakal memeriksa ayahanda Perong.
Ia mengatakan, terhadap orang tua pelaku pihaknya bakal memintai keterangan ibu dan ayah kandung Pegi.
Selain itu, ibu tiri Pegi juga bakal diperiksa buntut kasus pembunuhan Vina dan Eki.
Hotman Paris, kuasa hukum keluarga Vina pernah meminta keluarga Pegi dipidana, mereka diduga menyembunyikan Pegi.
Menurut pengacara kondang itu, Pegi pernah mudik saat Lebaran ke Kampung halaman, merayakan Hari Raya Lebaran bersama keluarga di Cirebon.
Polisi pun tak tinggal diam, baik orang tua, pemilik kontrakan hingga Ketua RT di kontrakan tempat Pegi bakal diperiksa.
Soal kemungkinan ada status tersangka ke pihak yang menyembunyikan Pegi, polisi belum mau bicara gamblang.
