No, la IA no puede aniquilar a la humanidad... Pero la humanidad sí puede aniquilar a la humanidad.¿Y si el peligro de la IA no tuviera absolutamente nada que ver con que algún día “se rebele contra la humanidad”, sino con que sigamos hablando de esta tecnología como si se tratara de un sujeto con agencia moral y voluntad propia, presentando así a las empresas que la desarrollan como si simplemente intentaran “contener y frenar” algo que está “ocurriendo”?
¿Estamos dejando de hablar de los desafíos que representa la IA a nivel tecno-ético y político al perder el tiempo elucubrando sobre conjeturas metafísicas que, desde los consensos que existen en la literatura filosófica (particularmente en el caso de los debates que atañen a la Filosofía de la Mente), no parecen tener fundamento?
Hoy os hablo del hilo viral firmado por un ex trabajador de OpenAI y Anthropic y, a raíz de este, cuestiono las narrativas tecno-fatalistas que, aludiendo de forma vaga (y sin proponer medidas de contención concretas) a un peligro existencial inminente, acaban presentando la IA como un ente capaz de “escaparse” o desarrollar una voluntad propia.
Para verlo con un caso concreto, analizaré (en términos más coloquiales) qué ocurrió realmente con el famoso incidente (hackeo, brecha de seguridad) de los agentes de OpenAI y Hugging Face: ¿tiene sentido decir que la IA “se escapó”?
