Gelombang protes yang dipicu oleh isu gaji dan tunjangan anggota DPR yang dinilai berlebihan terus berlanjut hingga memicu demonstrasi besar-besaran yang mengguncang Jakarta dan meluas ke berbagai daerah.Aksi massa pada 25 Agustus 2025 lalu di Kompleks Parlemen, Senayan, Jakarta pecah menjadi bentrokan dengan aparat keamanan setelah tuntutan mereka diabaikan. Peristiwa ini mencapai titik didih ketika seorang pengemudi ojek daring pada 28 Agustus tewas terlindas kendaraan taktis brimob di Jakarta Pusat.
Tragedi ini menjadi titik balik yang mengubah aksi protes menjadi kemarahan nasional dan memicu gelombang solidaritas luas dari berbagai elemen masyarakat.
