Die Bundesregierung hat auf die Folgen des Iran-Kriegs reagiert: Mit einer Senkung der Energiesteuer auf Benzin und Diesel um rund 17 Cent je Liter und der Möglichkeit einer steuerfreien Einmalprämie von bis zu 1000 Euro will die schwarz-rote Koalition die Bürger entlasten.Gleichzeitig kündigt Bundeskanzler Friedrich Merz (CDU) grundlegende Reformen bei Gesundheit, Steuern und Rente an. Doch die Kritik ist laut – von Ökonomen, aus der eigenen Koalition und aus der Wirtschaft.
