Peristiwa ini terjadi saat korban menemani kekasihnya, yakni kurir makanan mengantar pesanan pelaku pada Kamis (3/7/2025) malam.
Dikutip dari Tribun Jogja, Kasatreskrim Polresta Sleman AKP Wahyu menjelaskan kasus ini bermula dari cekcok antara kurir berinisial AD dengan pelanggan berinsial T.
Ia mengaku terlambat mengantar pesanan karena sedang ada double order.
"Terlambat dalam mengantar karena alasan dari driver ada double order," ujar AKP Wahyu, Sabtu (5/7/2025).
Kekasih AD yang turut mengantar juga turut memberikan penjelasan dengan harapan T bisa memaklumi.
Namun, pria yang tinggal di Bantulan, Sleman tersebut tetap tidak terima.
Cekcok kemudian berujung pada penganiayaan terhadap kekasih kurir yang selanjutnya dipisahkan oleh orang-orang di sekitar lokasi.
Video penganiayaan tersebut viral dan korban juga melapor ke Polresta Sleman pada Jumat (4/7/2025) dengan bukti luka cakaran.
Imbas dari dugaan penganiayaan itu, massa dari solidaritas kurir makanan muncul.
Mereka mendatangi rumah T pada Sabtu (5/7/2025) dini hari, namun ternyata yang bersangkutan sudah pergi.
T menyerahkan diri ke Mapolsek Godean yang kemudian dijemput aparat dari Polresta Sleman.
Saat itu juga, ratusan kurir makanan bergerak dari rumah pelaku ke Mapolresta Sleman di Jalan Magelang.
Didampingi polisi, T menytampaikan permintaan maaf atas aksinya menganiaya perempuan.
"Memohon dengan tulus untuk meminta maaf dengan korban dan driver ojol terutama driver Shopee," ujar T.
Ia mengaku sangat menyesal dan siap menerima konsekuensi hukum yang berlaku.
