SCHOCK-AUSSAGE ZU ISRAEL: Johann Wadephul wirft Gideon Saar in Berlin Bruch des Völkerrechts vorScharfe Worte im Nahost-Konflikt: Bundesaußenminister Johann Wadephul (CDU) hat Israels Regierung wegen der Genehmigung weiterer jüdischer Siedlungen im besetzten Westjordanland einen Verstoß gegen das Völkerrecht vorgeworfen. „Diese Siedlungspolitik ist in dieser Form völkerrechtswidrig, sie verbaut buchstäblich die Lösung für eine Zwei-Staaten-Lösung“, sagte Wadephul bei einem Treffen mit seinem israelischen Kollegen Gideon Saar am Donnerstag in Berlin.
Wadephul sicherte Israel weitere Waffenlieferungen zu, forderte aber im Gegenzug eine drastische Verbesserung der humanitären Hilfe für Gaza. Saar wiederum betonte Israels Abhängigkeit von deutscher Hilfe und sprach über eine alternative Verteilung von Hilfsgütern zur Schwächung der Hamas.
