Ex-NATO-General Erhard Bühler erklärt die Rolle Kasachstans und die Signalwirkung des ungewöhnlichen Vorstoßes nach innen und nach außen.Auch im zweiten Teil dieser Folge von "Was tun, Herr General?" geht es um einen Verbündeten Russlands: Nordkorea. Bühler bespricht mit Host Christian Erll, was von den Berichten zu halten ist, dass 30.000 nordkoreanische Soldaten Russland unterstützen sollen. Welche Aufgaben könnten sie übernehmen und welchen militärischen Nutzen hätten sie überhaupt?
Und schließlich steht eine Frage im Raum, die seit Monaten diskutiert wird. Bereitet Russland eine neue Mobilisierungswelle vor? Erhard Bühler stellt zunächst klar, dass es seiner Ansicht nach nicht um neue Rekruten, sondern um die Aktivierung von Reservisten geht. Er kann sich auch eine Größenordnung von über 300.000 Mann nicht vorstellen, weil es organisatorisch mit Ausbildung und Ausrüstung kaum machbar wäre. Bühler hält aber eine verdeckte, schrittweise Mobilisierung für plausibel.
