TMC MP Split Updates LIVE: TMC हुई टुकड़े-टुकड़े, सिर्फ 'दीदी-भतीजा' बचेंगे? | Mamata Banerjee'Didi' has suffered a major setback in the Lok Sabha as well; 20 out of her 28 MPs have turned rebels and are preparing to form a new faction after writing to the Speaker. This development followed a meeting of the dissident MPs at the residence of BJP leader Bhupender Yadav. In terms of numbers, the TMC has 28 MPs in the Lok Sabha, and the two-thirds threshold stands at 18; thus, the rebel MPs possess more than enough numbers to stake a claim as the 'real' TMC. The MPs who have rebelled include Kakoli Ghosh (Barasat), Prasun Banerjee (Howrah), Satabdi Roy (Birbhum), Asit Mal (Bolpur), Bapi Haldar (Mathurapur), June Malia (Medinipur), Jagadish Basunia (Cooch Behar), Arup Chakraborty (Bankura), Partha Bhowmick (Barrackpore), and Sharmila Sarkar (Bardhaman Purba). There is no longer any doubt that the TMC has completely fractured.
