41-річний В’ячеслав Левицький пішов добровольцем захищати країну у перші дні повномасштабної війни Росії проти України. Воював на Херсонщині, Миколаївщині та Донеччині. Отримав поранення 23 лютого 2023 року під Авдіївкою у Покровському районі Донецької області. Без медичної допомоги пробупробув 7 днів і потрапив у полон до російських військових. Майже чотири місяці він перебував у полоні в Грозному. У місцевому госпіталі українського воїна прооперували і ампутували обморожені руки і важкопоранені ноги, на яких почалась гангрена.
