Preissteigerungen durch Ernteausfälle: „Paprika wird zu einem kleinen Luxusgut“
Heiß und trocken war es in den vergangenen Wochen in Deutschland. Die Bauern und Bäuerinnen befürchten deutliche Ernteeinbußen – teils drohen sogar Totalausfälle. Das steigert die Preise für Lebensmittel. Teilweise beobachte die Agrarmarkt Informationsgesellschaft enorme Preissteigerung, sagt Jörg Seisselberg aus der NDR-Wirtschaftsredaktion: „Sorten, die besonders viel Wasser brauchen, also Salat beispielsweise ist 20 bis zu 50 Prozent teurer als im Vorjahr, Gurken bis zu 20 Prozent und auch Paprika wird zu einem kleinen Luxusgut.“Doch damit ist es Seisselberg zufolge noch nicht vorbei: „So richtig zu spüren bekommen, werden wir das wahrscheinlich ab Herbst.“
