BERLIN: Aquarium öffnet nach drei Jahren Umbau! Pünktlich zum 113. GeburtstagDas Aquarium Berlin ist nach drei Jahren Umbau wieder geöffnet. Pünktlich zum 113. Geburtstag können Besucher Haie, Rifffische und den riesigen Arapaima bestaunen. Das historische Haus wurde bei laufendem Betrieb Etage für Etage saniert. Besonders aufwendig war das große Rundbecken mit mehr als 110.000 Litern Wasser und 14 Zentimeter dicken Scheiben. Neue Aktivtische und ein Aufzug machen das Aquarium moderner und barrierefrei. Der Zoo investierte den Großteil der Kosten selbst, das Land steuerte 2,7 Millionen Euro bei.
