Kejadian memilukan ini berlangsung dini hari di dua lokasi berbeda, yakni pelataran parkir Hotel Jayakarta di Jalan Hayam Wuruk dan halaman depan Diskotik Eskotik, Mangga Besar.
Ledakan dahsyat itu, menghanguskan tiga mobil dan melukai empat orang, salah satunya mengalami cedera serius akibat pecahan kaca yang beterbangan.
Kepanikan pun melanda warga sekitar yang buru-buru menyelamatkan diri dari bahaya.
Di tengah kepanikan itu, aparat kepolisian menemukan dua bom rakitan aktif lain di depan Plaza Hayam Wuruk dan area parkir Sarinah Thamrin.
Beruntung, Tim Penjinak Bom Mabes Polri berhasil menjinakkan kedua bom tersebut, menggagalkan potensi bencana yang lebih besar.
Penyelidikan selanjutnya mengungkap kesamaan komponen pada bom-bom itu, menandakan adanya rencana terorganisir oleh kelompok yang ingin mengacaukan keamanan ibu kota.
Polisi terus mendalami kasus ini dengan meminta keterangan dari sejumlah saksi mata.
Peristiwa ini menjadi catatan kelam sekaligus pelajaran berharga dalam sejarah keamanan Jakarta.
Mengingatkan kita semua akan pentingnya kewaspadaan dan kerja sama semua pihak dalam menjaga ketertiban kota.
