BROSIUS-GERSDORF: Union-Position zur Richterwahl! Bosbach: Abtreibung? "Das ist nicht verhandelbar!"Bundeskanzler Friedrich Merz hat eingeräumt, die Vorbehalte in der Unionsfraktion gegenüber der Juristin Frauke Brosius-Gewersdorf bei der Wahl ans Bundesverfassungsgericht unterschätzt haben. "Wir hätten natürlich früher erkennen können, das da großer Unmut entsteht", sagte Merz im ARD-Sommerinterview am Sonntag in Berlin. Unruhe habe es aber auch in der SPD-Fraktion gewesen. So habe die frühere SPD-Gesundheitsministerin Ulla Schmidt die Kirchen mobilisiert.
Man könne Abgeordneten aber auch keine Befehle von oben geben. Wenn es um solche Personalfragen, gehe es auch um Gewissensfragen, so Merz weiter. Die Union werde das mit der SPD in Ruhe besprechen und dann zu einem Ergebnis kommen. "Das müssen wir nicht heute oder morgen entscheiden"; so der Bundeskanzler.
