Susurluk Kazası Neden Bu kadar Önemli? Niye Hala Gündemden Düşmüyor?
1990’ların başında NATO üyesi Avrupa ülkelerinde bir bir ortaya çıkarken, soğuk savaşın en kritik ülkesi Türkiye’nin de benzer bir hesaplaşma içine girmesi bekleniyordu. 1996 yılında bir trafik kazası gerçekleşti. Susurluk’ta bir Mercedes kaza yapmış, içinden bir milletvekili, bir polis müdürü ve kırmızı bültenle aranan, 1970’lerin ünlü ülkücü lideri Abdullah Çatlı çıkmıştı. Çatlı’nın birkaç gün sonra Nevşehir’de gerçekleşen cenaze töreninde, kim tarafından kaleme alındığı bilinmeyen bir bildiri dağıtıldı.“Yıllar var ki ülkemiz örtülü bir savaş içinde. Çatlı bu savaşta yan tuttu. Yan tutmakla kalmadı, risk aldı, bedel verdi. Kılıç gibi savaştı, onurlu bir ömür sürdü. Hakka yürüdü.” Bir Kılıç gibi savaştığı iddia edilen Abdullah Çatlı derin devletin adamımıydı, bu hiçbir zaman resmen açıklanmadı. Ama seçilen kelime çok manidardı. Kılıç, İtalyanca’da Gladio demekti.
