Tentara tersebut terbunuh setelah ditembak penembak jitu pasukan perlawanan Palestina.
Kabar tewasnya seorang sersan Israel ini diumumkan pasukan pendudukan pada Jumat (10/10/2025).
Saat itu, korban terlibat pertempuran sengit di utara Jalur Gaza.
Menurut Radio Angkatan Darat Israel,
Sersan batalyon ditembak penembak jitu di pinggiran kamp pengungsi Shati.
Sehari sebelumnya, empat tentara dari Batalyon ke-13 Brigade Golani juga dilaporkan cedera.
Dikutip dari Al-Mayadeen, satu di antaranya kini dalam kondisi kritis.
Kondisi tersebut bukan karena hasil pertempuran dengan Hamas melainkan kecelakaan.
Kecelakaan tersebut diakibatkan adanya tabrakan antara kendaraan Hummer milik Batalyon 13 dengan kendaraan pengangkut personel lapis baja berat.
Dua kendaraan tersebut hancur setelah saling bertabrakan.
