Das BSW durchlebt schwierige Zeiten. In bundesweiten Umfragen liegt es verlässlich unter fünf Prozent und die Strahlkraft der Parteigründerin Sahra Wagenknecht hat nachgelassen. Braucht es das BSW noch? Und wenn ja, warum? Darüber sprechen Malte Pieper und Focus-Chefreporterin Anja Maier mit Katja Wolf. Sie ist Co-Vorsitzende des BSW in Thüringen, Finanzministerin und stellvertretende Ministerpräsidentin. "Das BSW ist im Moment in einer schwierigen Situation", gibt Wolf zu. Für die Zukunft sei sie dennoch optimistisch, denn die Partei habe ein gutes Programm und fülle eine Lücke.Ausführlich geht es auch um konkrete BSW-Politik in Thüringen, wo das Bündnis mitregiert. Wir sprechen mit Wolf über Investitionen in Krisenzeiten. Die BSW-Politikerin erklärt, warum aus ihrer Sicht selbst bei einem Landeshaushalt von 14 Milliarden Euro wenig Spielraum zum Sparen und Investieren bleibt. Und warum sie neue Schulden durchaus für gerechtfertigt hält, auch mit Blick auf jüngere Generationen, die sie irgendwann zurückzahlen müssen. Außerdem geht es um das Verhältnis des BSW zur AfD.
