Selain itu, drone Thailand menghantam depot senjata hingga kendaraan peluncur roket milik Kamboja yang berada tak jauh dari garis perbatasan yang masih disengketakan kedua negara.
Angkatan Darat Kerajaan Thailand melaporkan drone bersenjata lokal itu menjatuhkan bom mortir M261 dan M472 secara presisi.
Pejabat senior pertahanan Thailand yang enggan menyebutkan namanya menyebut, drone Thailand ini mampu mengidentifikasi hingga menyerang target musuh bernilai tinggi.
Termasuk depot penyimpanan senjata, area persiapan artileri roket, dan kendaraan peluncur roket bergerak.
“Drone bersenjata buatan Thailand ini mampu mengidentifikasi dan menyerang beberapa target musuh bernilai tinggi, termasuk depot penyimpanan senjata, area persiapan artileri roket, dan kendaraan peluncur roket bergerak,” ujar seorang pejabat senior pertahanan Thailand tanpa menyebutkan nama.
Insiden ini terjadi sangat mencekam dan menjadi salah satu konflik paling berdarah antara Thailand dan Kamboja lebih dari satu dekade terakhir.
Merespons serangan itu, pasukan Kamboja mengerahkan peluncur RM-70 GRAD buatan Ceko ke arah Thailand.
