On Monday in Manhattan a gunman opened fire and killed four people, including an NYPD officer, in a midtown office building. Authorities say the gunman died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The investigation is ongoing, and officials have not yet released information on the victims' conditions.Monday, Pres. Trump met with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer at this golf course in Scotland to discuss global issues and tariffs. Their meeting concluded with Starmer accompanying Trump on Air Force One to Aberdeen, where Trump is set to open a new golf course Tuesday. After that opening the president is expected to board Air Force One to return to the US.
Extreme heat continues across much of the U.S. this week, impacting over 185 million people with "feels like" temperatures exceeding 100 degrees Fahrenheit. The prolonged heat wave, exacerbated by a heat dome, is targeting the Midwest, South, and East Coast, with some areas experiencing high temperatures during the evenings as well.
