JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV - Gelombang aksi unjuk rasa memprotes rencana kenaikan tunjangan anggota DPR menyisakan luka mendalam.Affan Kurniawan, pengemudi ojek online, tewas usai tertabrak mobil rantis polisi yang tengah berupaya membubarkan massa di Pejompongan, Jakarta Pusat.
Affan yang kala itu tengah mengantarkan pesanan makanan, terpeleset di tengah jalan saat mobil rantis milik Brimob melintas menghalau pendemo.
Jenazah Affan dimakamkan di TPU Karet Bivak, Jakarta, Jumat siang. Isak tangis keluarga, sahabat, dan kerabat iringi pemakaman Affan Kurniawan.
Presiden Prabowo Subianto menyampaikan duka cita atas wafatnya Affan. Prabowo kecewa dengan tindakan polisi menangani unjuk rasa. Presiden minta kasus tewasnya Affan diusut tuntas.
Kapolri Jenderal Listyo Sigit Prabowo meminta maaf atas kesalahan anak buahnya menghadapi pendemo yang berujung tewasnya Affan.
Tujuh polisi dari Brimob yang diduga bersalah melanggar kode etik sudah diperiksa oleh Divpropam Polri. Polri menjamin pengusutan kasus tewasnya Affan akan dilakukan secara transparan dan tuntas.
