Keduanya ditemukan tewas dengan posisi tergeletak dan berdekatan.
Korban diketahui bernama Budi (30) warga Gang Pensiunan Desa Dagang Krawan, dan Agung (32) warga Desa Buntu Bedimbar yang tinggal di Simpang Kalem Desa Limau Manis Kecamatan Tanjung Morawa.
Diduga keduanya tewas sekira pukul 05.00 WIB.
Kedua korban dikenal warga bekerja mengatur kendaraan yang melintas di beberapa persimpangan di jalan lintas.
Istri kedua korban tampak menangis setelah melihat jasad suaminya sudah terbujur kaku.
"Aku tadi jam 06.00 dikabarin dan ditelpon. Aku nggak tahu kenapa mereka di sini. Aku di rumah," ucap salah satu istri korban.
Sebelum jasad korban dievakuasi dari lokasi, puluhan warga sempat datang dan melihat jasad korban yang sudah tergeletak.
Warga pun berkerumun menyaksikan kejadian tersebut karena lokasinya berada di pinggir jalan.
Salah seorang saksi mata bernama Evan mengaku kenal dengan kedua korban.
Ia menyebut kedua korban lengket kesetrum saat akan mengambil besi.
Ia melihat kedua korban masih kejang-kejang.
Saat itu ia ingin menolong namun ada percikan api.
Akhirnya kejadian tersebut dilaporkan ke Polsek.
Diduga setelah berhasil memotong satu tiang besi, masih ada besi lain yang juga mau dipotong kembali.
