Iran says 81,000 civilian units hit as US‑Israeli air campaign enters day 24
On day 24 of the US‑Israeli air campaign on Iran, extensive destruction is visible in targeted residential areas with bodies recovered and rescue teams at work.The Iranian Red Crescent reports more than 81 000 civilian units hit, mainly homes, along with over 270 medical facilities, nearly 500 schools and several of its own buildings.
Official death tolls exceed 1 400, with fears the true figure is higher.
A missile collapsing a residential block was heard as people slept, shattering windows and doors.
Attacks have also struck oil infrastructure, raising concerns about long‑term pollution of water and soil. US President Donald Trump threatened strikes on Iranian power plants but said they would be delayed. Iran has warned it will retaliate if such attacks proceed.
