為什麼你的主管總是叫你「講重點」？｜很多時候，問題不是你講太多，而是你沒有回答眼前這一題【一?
主管問：「這件事你到底有沒有答應？」你說了三分鐘，交代前因後果、補充所有背景，也解釋了自己的顧慮。主管聽完，只好再問一次：「所以，到底有沒有？」
很多人被主管叫「講重點」時，第一個反應是懷疑自己的表達能力。但真正卡住你的，往往是那些還沒發生的擔心：怕被誤會、怕被責怪，也怕少說了一句，責任最後會落到自己身上。
於是，你看起來在回答問題，其實心思早已跑到後面，忙著處理自己的焦慮。
我一直覺得，清晰跟完整是兩件不同的事情。完整，是把自己知道的全部倒出來；清晰，是知道此刻最重要的訊息是什麼，讓它先出場。
而對那個想把事情弄清楚的人來說，這樣的溝通也很辛苦。他只是想釐清狀況，最後卻像是在審問你；語氣堅定一點，對方覺得受到壓迫，語氣放軟了，事情又沒有辦法往前。
講重點，其實也反映了一個人的決策能力。你能不能分清楚事實、推測與感受？知不知道這段話說出去，希望對方做什麼？又能不能先留在當下，把眼前這一題回答好？
這一集，我想從一場常見的職場對話出發，談談我們如何把「釐清」聽成「評價」，以及怎麼讓訊息重新為目的服務。當你不再讓焦慮替自己回答，說話自然會多一點清晰，也多一點力量。
